The blood stains must be immediately treated over the carpets to avoid permanent harm to the fibres. To remove the blood stains use one tablespoon ammonia mixed with one-half cup of warm water. Use a cloth or sponge, apply the ammonia solution directly onto the blood stain and blot till the solution gets absorbed. Also, one tablespoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent with two cups of cold water can be used.

I would recommend sticking with a cold water option as hot water can cause the proteins in the blood to bind cause the stain to set and become harder to remove
